Seahawks will release Bobby Wagner, marking the end of an era | The Seattle Times

This week marks the start of NFL free agency, and we’re starting to find out what some players’ future hold.
Wagner is unlikely to return to Seattle, according to an NFL Network report by Ian Rapoport. Wagner, who spent 2022 with the Los Angeles Rams, returned to the Seahawks for the 2023 season and set a new career high in tackles.

After spending the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seahawks, when he was selected in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Wagner won Super Bowl XLVIII and was selected six times to the First Team All-Pro. His 1,566 tackles throughout his time as a Seahawk are by far the most in team history.Seahawks to release LB Bobby Wagner after 10 seasons with team

With the 33-year-old Wagner coming off a career year and seeming rejuvenated and seemingly ageless, he should have plenty of interest in the free-agent market. He may even end up with another Seahawks division rival, as the San Francisco 49ers feel like a natural fit for the linebacker.
