Raiders: Garoppolo’s Release
The Las Vegas Raiders have formally released quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, a move that was widely anticipated.
When asked if he viewed himself as the Raiders’ long-term starter in March 2023, Garoppolo responded, “I’m coming in with the mindset that I need to earn everything.” I want no recognition whatsoever, not even “you’re the franchise guy.” I wish to enter and merit it. That will hopefully come from working hard, collaborating with others, and being present at the facility. I don’t want anything in return, but all those tiny things will count. I wish to merit it.”
He added that he wished to guide the Raiders back to continuous success.
“I have confidence,” stated Garoppolo. “I am also aware that this is a very difficult path, and you should never enter it with unrealistic expectations. I firmly feel that this is what gets you to February at the end of the year, so you want to go in knowing that you’re going to work hard and enjoy the process. You won’t make the playoffs if you attempt to cut corners and go around the procedure. That’s just the way this league operates, and I firmly think that. Therefore, I believe that if we work hard, follow all the proper procedures, and bring in the right people,
That’s a wonderful start right here.
Always a gentleman and a professional, Garoppolo departs the desert with respect.
Furthermore, as was previously mentioned, the Raiders on Wednesday released defensive tackle Jerry Tillery, wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, and quarterback Brian Hoyer.
The NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25–27, 2024, in Detroit, Michigan. With the 13th overall pick right now, it belongs to the Las Vegas Raiders.
