Former Cowboys quarterback signed with the Eagles.
The Eagles of Philadelphia are stealing players from other divisions.
The Eagles are reportedly signing veteran quarterback Will Grier to a one-year contract, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN on Saturday. Grier, a former third-round selection, played for the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots in alternate seasons in 2018.
Another noteworthy fact about the 28-year-old Grier is that he spent two seasons (2021–2022) playing for the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.
Grier has only ever appeared in two NFL games—against the Carolina Panthers in 2019—and has never seen the field for Dallas. Nevertheless, he should be a reliable QB3 depth option behind starter Jalen Hurts and fellow rookie Kenny Pickett.
The Eagles are being aggressive in the free agent market following their elimination in the Wild Card Round of the previous postseason. Grier joins the plethora of opponents’ players that Philadelphia has previously signed.
