Tracker for Miami Dolphins 2024 mock draft, version 1.0.
The NFL’s free agency market is slowing down as the 2024 NFL Draft gets closer to reality. It’s time to dive into mock draft season and see who the Miami Dolphins are predicted to select based on online projections, with just about a month until the annual college prospect selection process begins.
The choice made by the named website or individual is listed below, along with any analysis of the choice they released. Who can project the best? Tell us in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Duke’s Graham Barton, C/G
The Dolphins lost several players to free agency on both lines. The coaching staff has alternatives because Barton can play all five slots, especially in the interior line positions. Jer’Zhan Newton, an Illinois defensive tackle, is still a possibility, especially in light of Christian Wilkins’ signing with the Raiders.
Byron Murphy II, DT, of Texas was Jaime Eisner of The Draft Network as of March 24.
The Dolphins lost the middle of their defensive line, just like the Rams did. As a high-motor IDL with a powerful first step that makes him useful against the run and pass, Byron Murphy II is able to cover the gap.
Oregon’s Jackson Powers-Johnson, C.
This pick may go in a lot of different directions, but even with Aaron Brewer added, there is a weakness on the interior of the offensive line with center Connor Williams still an unsigned free agent coming off a torn ACL and Robert Hunt departing for a big-money deal in Carolina. For the Dolphins to succeed, it is imperative that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has a firm pocket. JPJ had a fantastic workout at the combine, demonstrating exceptional movement skills for a 6-3, 328-pound guy. He also had a solid week at the Senior Bowl. Throughout his 17 starts in college, Powers-Johnson didn’t allow up a single sack.

The Dolphins lost a lot of players in free agency on both lines. The coaching staff has flexibility with Barton’s ability to play all five spots, especially with the interior line positions. Jer’Zhan Newton, an Illinois defensive tackle, is still a possibility given that Christian Wilkins joined the Raiders.
Texas’s Byron Murphy II, DT
The Dolphins lost the focal point of their defensive line, just like the Rams did. As a high-motor IDL with a powerful first step that makes him good versus the run and pass, Byron Murphy II can fill that void.
