A close acquaintance asserts that the leaked text exchanges are authentic and that Christian Horner’s “intimidated and lonely” accuser “has been silenced after signing an NDA.”
Amidst the continuing scandal surrounding Red Bull, the woman at the center of it all has stated that she is “very upset, angry, scared, intimidated and lonely.”
A ‘friend’ of the complainant told the BBC that she’struggled to understand’ the team’s dismissal of her claims against her supervisor, Christian Horner.
An internal investigation exonerated Horner, 50, who has consistently refuted allegations of domineering behavior.
“People can’t possibly understand what it’s like for her,” the “friend” declared. She sobs and tells me she has no one to talk to because she isn’t allowed to talk whenever I ask her a question.
“She feels very scared, very angry, very angry, very lonely, and very upset.”
‘Both sides signed a confidentiality agreement on it so they both can’t discuss it,’ a Red Bull spokesperson stated.
The investigation concluded that the employee had made false statements, and as a result, the employee was suspended with full pay.
Approximately 150 F1 employees received a trove of leaked data that purportedly showed private conversations between Horner and the employee after Horner was cleared.
Horner has never stated whether or not the letter is authentic. The communications, in his words, were “anonymous and speculative.”
‘Everyone may determine for themselves whether that was a suitable relationship,’ the ‘friend’ said.
“Christian wants to put an end to this, as he has stated.” “Well, why isn’t that being brought forward in a transparent way and why isn’t Christian denying those WhatsApps are real if this has been a fair and independent process and there has been no wrongdoing?”
