In late August 2023, the Arizona Cardinals traded Simmons to the Giants in exchange for a seventh-round pick. The former first-round pick was a useful role player on defense even if he did not push for a starting berth. In addition to 50 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, one quarterback hit, one interception that he recovered for a score, and three pass defenses, Simmons started all 17 games with four starts. He was used on the blitz the fifth most on the squad with 54 sends. Simmons performed in half of the special as well.

The Cardinals selected the 6’4″, 238-pound Simmons with the eighth overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Simmons participated in 50 regular-season games with 37 starts over his three seasons with Arizona. But he never lived up to the hype around him in the draft and was never able to settle into one position, which is why the Giants acquired him for a low price.

From 2018 until 2021, the 5’9″, 200-pound Miller was a student at Columbia University. He was a graduate transfer walk-on for the South Carolina Gamecocks when he last played football there in 2022. Miller was free to join with the Giants before to the 2024 NFL Draft, but he missed the majority of the 2022 and 2023 seasons due to uncertainty with NCAA rules. Miller has explosive speed, is highly shifty, and runs tough for his height.
