John Tortorella is an individual.  He makes the major decisions based on his experience and has an unconventional approach to doing things. Nevertheless, things aren’t going well for him at the moment.

Torts made the decision to omit team captain Sean Couturier in order to make a strong statement to his group. After being questioned about his goalie’s performance just under two weeks prior, he also departed the platform.

What was the outcome? Eight of the Flyers’ previous nine games have ended in losses. This is important because Philly is now in the middle of the postseason chase. It is, in a sense, normal. Because it might be difficult to accept criticism from your coach when it is given in public. John Tortorella has made a number of poor choices, and he frequently makes the news for the wrong reasons.
However, the conclusion is now evident: Torts has truly gotten away with it. And the Flyers’ recent struggles are his fault. It’s unfortunate since Philly was hoping for a miserable season.

Though he was able to stem the tide, the Flyers’ coach is doing more harm than good to the team. Though given his recent actions, we may have anticipated that he would advance to the club’s top management position the following year. Are the execs there still in awe of this idea? It’s unfortunate since Philly was hoping for a miserable season.
