Sam Morsy of Ipswich Town received a one-match punishment after an FA complaint.Sam Morsy, the captain of Ipswich Town, has been suspended for one game due to an incident that happened following his team’s 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough away.
The midfield player was suspended and fined £5,000 for violating regulation E3.1, according to an FA statement.

The statement goes on to say that Morsy “used abusive language and/or behaved inappropriately toward a match official in or around the changing rooms after the fixture was finished.” After a hearing, an impartial Regulatory Commission issued his penalty.

“Sam accepts the charge, and both the Club and the midfielder will make no further comment,” Ipswich announced after confirming the suspension.

Morsy will therefore be unavailable for selection on New Year’s Day away at Stoke City, but he will be available for Friday’s match against QPR at Portman Road.

The Egyptian international has already received nine yellow cards this season and is just one booking away from a two-match suspension.
