There is uncertainty around Thompson’s potential to join with the Warriors again as he becomes an unrestricted free agency. It is anticipated that Thompson will go back to Golden State. If he were available, though, a few notable teams might be interested in him. Recently, Bookies.com released chances on Thompson’s potential future squad.
The Warriors are favored to keep Thompson. The teams who are next in line to sign him are the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers, and Philadelphia 76ers. These are their chances:

The Warriors’ division rivals are the Lakers and Clippers. LeBron James, in particular, is the leader of the Lakers and has long been a nemesis of Thompson and the Warriors. It is now possible that the two will work together in the future. Thompson averaged 17.9 points per game this season and struggled with his shot. He made 43.2 percent of his field goals, including 38.7 percent on threes. He failed to score in the team’s play-in loss to the Kings last week. That may not be the way the 34-year-old wants to end his Warriors career. So one particular outcome could make sense for Thompson and Golden State.
