Momo Diaby: Portimonense midfielder signs loan with Sheffield Wednesday
Momo Diaby, a midfielder for Portimonense, has joined Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old Frenchman, who has signed with nine different summer teams in the Championship, has played his entire professional career in Portugal.
He might play for the team of Xisco Munoz on Saturday when they travel to Hull City.
“As soon as I heard, it was clear I wanted to come here and I am very happy because I will finally play in England,” he stated on the club’s website.

Sheffield Wednesday will take advantage of a transfer window anomaly following Momo Diaby’s comeback.
According to Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Röhl, the team will take advantage of a glitch in the January transfer window, which essentially allows everyone on their roster to play.

The Owls manager discussed the circumstances, saying, “We’ll leverage the nice thing about January, which is that you can bring players in and out of the list. After that, we’ll determine what needs to be done, and we can move on.
After the transfer window closes on February 1st at 11pm, Röhl will simply need to finalize a 25-man roster, according to the EFL manual, and that has to happen “within 24 hours.”
