A takeover agreement was announced earlier this month, which should be a source of optimism among supporters.
Carlos Corberan’s side are also competing for promotion to the Premier League, currently occupying a play-off place.
However, summer transfer window planning will already be underway, as clubs look for how they can improve their first team squads.
Here we look at the players that could actually depart The Hawthorns at the end of this season…
Alex Mowatt has proven to be a useful squad player for Corberan’s side so far this season, featuring regularly this term after finding himself out of favour under previous managers.
But the midfielder’s contract is set to expire this summer, which could allow him to walk away for nothing.
The Spaniard has confirmed that talks are ongoing over a potential new deal but stressed that the financial situation at the club will limit their ability to make a strong offer.
So, unless a new agreement is reached soon, then the 29-year-old’s departure from Albion this summer remains a distinct possibility.
Cedric Kipre has been one of the most consistent performances for the Baggies this year, becoming a mainstay in the side after previously struggling for game time at The Hawthorns previously.
But the 27-year-old is in a similar position to Mowatt, with Corberan confirming talks are underway over a new deal amid his expiring contract in 2024.
Yet no agreement has yet been reached over new terms, meaning he could walk away from West Brom for nothing at the end of the campaign.
Nathaniel Chalobah could also depart the club in the summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the term.
The midfielder has been a useful asset in the squad this year but has been unable to really cement his place as a regular presence in the starting lineup.
The 29-year-old only joined the Baggies during the 2023 January window, signing an 18-month deal when he joined from Fulham and it’s not a move that has proven particularly successful.
Yann M’Vila has not even had the chance to make his West Brom debut yet, but his time at The Hawthorns could be short-lived regardless.
The midfielder has just joined as a free agent, signing for the club outside of the transfer widndows
The experienced Frenchman’s deal runs until this summer, and it remains to be seen whether there is any interest in extending those terms beyond these few months.
He feels like a stopgap signing and that likely means he’ll be on the move this summer.
