So sad: Chase Elliott  band  for this Sunday at Iowa Speedway  due to team…

Elliott is now up to second in the points standings after finishing P4 this past Sunday at Sonoma. He’ll go for win No. 2 this Sunday in the inaugural Cup Series race at Iowa Speedway. The racetrack opened in 2006, but is finally hosting its first Cup Series event, the Iowa Corn 350

I remember fans, particularly, always talking about how bad they want a [NASCAR Cup Series] race, so I’m just excited that they finally got a Cup race,” Elliott said this week of Iowa Speedway. “I feel like it’s been a worthy facility for a long time. And whatever the reason may be or however long we go, I think it’s good that they have done things right over the years and got one.”

The hat, which features the Braves’ signature “A” logo on the front with Elliott’s No. 9 on the side, come in two separate shades of blue. All hats are available at the Braves Clubhouse Store at Truist Park and Threads by Braves Clubhouse Store in The Battery.

Elliott, the Dawsonville, Georgia, native, is a lifelong Braves fan. Elliott won his first Cup Series championship in 2020 and in the following year, the Braves won their first World Series since 1995. Georgia won the College Football Playoff National Championship as well, its first since 1980. Elliott took part in a celebration of Georgia champions at the College Football Hall of Fame in June 2022.

On the track this season, Elliott is back to being one of the most consistent drivers on the circuit following an injury-riddled campaign the year prior. A winner at Texas earlier this season, Elliott has been racking up points in recent weeks. He has recorded seven top 10s in his last 10 starts and finished no worse than 15th during that stretch.
