According to the police, a man was riding a scooter close to Jake Thomas Road and the Parkway when a car opened the door.
WVLT – PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.The Pigeon Forge Police Department reports that a guy who was at the Rod Run event in Pigeon Forge on Thursday died after colliding his electric scooter with an open automobile door.
According to PFPD, the collision occurred close to the intersection of Jake Thomas Road when a stopped truck’s passenger opened the door. The man, identified as Jeremy Hanes Jr., 31, of Charlestown, Indiana, struck the door while operating the scooter on the Parkway between the sidewalk and the white line, according to the PFPD.
