“Who Is This Guy?” Los Angeles Rams star Puka Nacua’s first impressions are revealed by Maxx Crosby.
This past season, Los Angeles Rams receiver Puka Nacua took the NFL by storm, setting rookie records for the most passes caught in a season with 1,486 yards (105 receptions). Six touchdowns were added to his résumé as well.
Not only that, but he was outstanding in the postseason as well, catching nine of ten targets for 181 yards and a touchdown in Ford Field during the Rams’ devastating loss to the Lions.
Maxx Crosby, the outstanding defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, saw it coming during their joint practices during training camp off-season, even though many others were taken aback by the fifth-round pick’s remarkable season.
According to Crosby’s podcast, which was obtained by Raiders Today, “We’re doing our scouting of you guys and breaking it down when we had the joint practices with you guys.” “I believe Cooper Kupp was injured. They have a rookie fifth-round pick for a receiver, and they had a picture of you.” You had a wide smile and neat hair. “Who the f— is this guy?” is how I feel.
“We didn’t know who you were, but you and [Matthew] Stafford hit it up right away. Sean McVay said this guy has been killing it in training camp, so that’s good. That was at the beginning. Of course, during your rookie season, everyone saw it all.
The Raiders and Rams did not play each other in 2023, but next season, when they play at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Crosby and the Las Vegas defense will get to witness Puka in its entirety.
And even though the Raiders defensive line will try their hardest to pressure quarterback Matthew Stafford on that particular day to keep the ball away from Nacua, the Rams’ new offensive line additions will make it more difficult to accomplish so.
