The 2024 NFL Preseason will begin with a Pro Football Hall of Fame game between the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game has been officially announced with the Chicago Bears set to face the Houston Texans to kick off the NFL preseason. As always, the game will take place in Canton Ohio with the two teams meeting at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on  August 1st at 8 p.m.

The yearly exhibition game is a tradition and is always played on the same weekend that new inductees are in town for the Hall of Fame ceremonies. The 2024 induction ceremony will take place August 3.

Both the Bears and Texans have former players that were recently named to the prestigious group.

Former Bears players Julius Peppers, Devin Hester and Steve McMichael were all named to the Hall of Fame earlier this year. Hester was a four-time Pro Bowler and famous for his kick returns during his time in the Windy City. Peppers was a nine-time Pro Bowler and was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2002. McMichael was a member of the famous 1985 Bears team that went on to win the Super Bowl.

The Houston Texans will have a player inducted for the first time that played the majority of his career with the Texans. Andre Johnson was selected by the Texans as the third pick in the 2003 draft and went on to play 169 regular season games for the organization. He is a seven-time Pro Bowler and led the NFL on two occasions in receptions and receiving yards.
