I knew more about that environment than I really wanted to since I had spent so much time with John Douglas and the FBI Behavioral Science team before working on Silence of the Lambs. FUN FACT: Douglas had the actor listen to a tape of serial killers Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris torturing, molesting, and killing two teenage girls during training.
